Union Pacific Railroad Bridge to Interstate 10

This segment of Houghton Road Corridor extends from the new Union Pacific Railroad Bridge to Interstate 10 and is approximately 1.2 miles long. Construction began in January 2019 and was completed in late February 2020, taking approximately 14 months. The new roadway has six travel lanes, bicycle lanes in each direction, a 12-foot multi-use path along the east side, a solar-powered dynamic traffic speed sign, new signing and striping, drainage improvements, water harvesting, and native plant landscaping.  

This project was made possible by funding through the City of Tucson, Federal Highway Administration and Regional Transportation Authority.
